Plastic and cosmetic surgery

Choose one of the treatments below for more information.

A thighplasty is intended to lift and re-contour thigh skin that is unattractively saggy and dimpled. Many candidates for thighplasty have excess skin as a result of weight loss, or simply because of the natural effects of aging. Thighplasty removes excess fat and skin from the inner and outer thighs to create a tighter, firmer, more toned thigh appearance. The thighplasty anesthesia of choice is usually general, though local anesthesia with sedation may also be opted for.

Recovery time

Patients return home with a compression garment to assist with swelling and skin tightening and most patients are comfortable returning to work about 1-2 weeks into the thighplasty recovery period. Strenuous activity such as exercise and heavy lifting should be avoided for about 4-6 weeks following surgery.
