A thigh-buttock lift improves the appearance of saggy, dimpled thigh and buttock skin. Excess fat and skin are removed, and the remaining skin is repositioned to create a tighter-looking, more attractively-contoured rear view.
It can take 1-4 hours to perform this outpatient procedure. Time requirements can vary depending on the extent of surgery.
Thigh-buttock lift results are long-lasting, but subject to change with weight fluctuation. A balanced diet and regular exercise are recommended to maintain the results of the procedure.
Generally, patients return home with a supportive compression bandage over the area to aide in the reduction of swelling and tightening of skin. After the Thigh-Buttock Lift procedure, recovery from bruising and swelling will take about a month initially, though some fading may continue for a couple more months. Most patients are able to return to work about 7-10 days into the Thigh-Buttock Lift recovery period. It is usually recommended that strenuous activity be avoided for about 6 weeks after surgery.
